You evidently don't believe in what you hear? I understand the mind & body connection so well that I know it is unhealthy to listen to some one who is as frenetic as Rush or Anne Colter for example. So I boycott it & put my energy into watching Wolf & Anderson & Keith & even republicans such as David Gergan. I am asking this cause I keep hearing republicans say the ratings are so high so dems could put a huge dent in the ratings if they boycotted these programs. Are dems addicted to these programs?
I stopped watching Fox some time ago. The few snippets of Fox that I do see come from other websites. Real Clear Politics/Politico/Huffpo/Daily Kos etc.
The reason I stopped watching Fox was because my dog started howling incessantly when it was on, in fact, he even tried to lift his leg in Bill's face a couple of times.
I love my dog, and to risk him getting electrocuted was not worth it.

When you're educated, you listen to all sides of an argument for several reasons: one, they may come up with something you haven't considered in your assessment…two, it allows you to understand how the person opining thinks…and three, it is always beneficial to know your enemy. 8^)
(Note that the reason why ratings are high is because that medium is the lone source of their information. Educated people listen to all different sources…if you were to take the combined ratings of those mutiple sources, they easily trounce the Conservative's single source by a mile.)

FNC out draws viewers on MS-NBC,CNN,NBC combined , FNC puts on both points of view and does not do the hate stuff like MS-NBC does.
CNN is kind of dull for me .
But I guess if you like watching Leg Chill-in Matthews that`s your choice.
Left wing media does not draw big audience look what happened to Air America they could`nt even survive with handouts.

As any Military History buff will tell you "Know Your Enemy" that means watch what he watches and listen to what he listens to and try to understand what he is thinking and why so you can counter his moves. And the only ones I know who get their news from 1 source are those whose minds are made up for them by either their church or political party or both.

The democrats that you are talking about aren't open to the full view of things so they don't watch fox news but stay to their CNN because it is extremely right winged. But the reason behind this is just their viewpoints on life. CNN has similar views like pro gay and pro choice. Fox News agrees with pro life and are more conservative.

well, no.
First of all, I wouldn't say I "watch them".
But I do tune in ……occasionally………..the same way you sort of slow down when you pass a car wreck……..
part of you wants to see what's going on………but the other part KNOWS………nothing GOOD, to be sure.
Still……..ya wanna look anyway……….
Then there's the other part, that likes a good LAUGH…….and watching Ann Coulter making a complete A$$ out of herself, is always pretty funny.
I love watching people who don't have the slighest idea what they are talking about,—- pontificate.
Like that video on You tube, where she gets completely OWNED by the talk show host, when she INSISTS Canada sent troops to Vietnam. (A duh!)
and yes, to some degree it IS "informative"……..only in the sense that I like to see just what the crybabies are whining about TODAY…….and so I will know what the NEXT 300 questions on Yahoo will be.
Just some regurgitated junk off Fox…..taken directly from some Glen Beck or Hannity rant.
and then , yeah, there is that entertainment factor of watching fools foam at the mouth.
Overall, though…….yeah, I always feel guilty, and it's always a huge waste of time…….and I just feel DUMBER for having watched any part of Fox News. I'm sorry for any ratings boost I give them.

Here are three reasons Dems listen to Right wing radio :
1) To know what the enemy is up to.
2) To use the right wing's words against them for their own programs.

Speaking for myself I listen because I want to know what the enemy is doing as well as for laughs. I know other Democrats who like to hear Rush,not for content but delivery, and Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin because they are attractive looking.Some even listen if they can't make up their minds about some political issue. To me it's all garbage
